Grand Canyon - Day 1

Labor day weekend we decided to go on a trip to the grand canyon. Much to mom's dismay, I convinced my parents that we should go camping there!

The minivan all packed up for the trip.

One of many scenic views we stopped to appreciate.

We found some cool houses to pose with.

Mom's giving a kiss the american version of the Queen's Head in YehLiu:

Dad riding what appears to be a rock, but with a lot of imagination could be a turtle or a frog. haha.

A rainbow we spotted on the way.

Excited to finally be in the Grand Canyon!

The grand canyon is amazing. My mom was at a loss for words when she saw it.

Bellissimo!

(she probably couldn't describe it because she doesn't speak Italian)

Sometimes I would tickle Mom's side to get a good photo. hahaha.

So you know when you try to film something, but when you click the button to stop filming, that's when it actually starts? Well that's what happened here. I really wanted to get a film of this couple because they had music playing from their phone or something while they gazed out at the grand canyon. hahaha. It was so great. Here's the closest I could get to it for you:

We saw tons of wildlife this trip. In Alaska we were looking everywhere for wildlife with almost no luck, and in the Grand Canyon we didn't even have to look and it would be right in front of us!

Setting up camp.

We had my mom time us because she didn't think we could do it too fast.

Dinner was great! We had hot dogs with smores for dessert.

Mom's executive suite.

Me and Dad tried playing Jenga in the tent. ...next time maybe we shouldn't put dad in charge of packing games to play in the tent.
